Media cover ups and the Gov. Christy Issue

When Gov. Christie made his speech in Ft. Lee, New Jersey, over the traffic issue, Rush Limbaugh pointed out that Christie mentioned he has had trouble sleeping for two nights even though he had only been told about the incident one day prior.   Everyone either seems to have the idea that he did it or that he didn't do it, could it be that they are both right and yet wrong all at the same time?  Could it be that Gov. Christie could have been busy and someone came in to discuss some issues.  Now, being busy Christie could have told the said person to "just handle it", "take care of it, I just don't want it coming back on us"?  With saying these things, it could have been misconstrued by the bothersome party as though he wanted retaliation.  Also, these comments could have left him clueless to the details.
