An Open Letter to those that would Keep our Republic
August 9, 2014
It is with care and yet expedience that I approach you today with this letter. I realize
that many hopes were crushed last night when the results of the Primary Election
were revealed. I understand full well the passion, energy, and finances that go into
an election, yet I hope and trust that you are ready to give it another go.
I am asking you to continue this fight for the heart and soul of America. You have
worked many long hours, made hundreds of calls, posts, speeches, etc. and have
contributed your hard earned money in an honorable bid to Beat Lamar. This race is not over yet. I believe that there is victory ahead for us on November 4th if we do not lose heart! Don’t let the legacy of this election be “better luck next time” or “we’ve got our eyes set on Corker”. That is exactly what the establishment wants you to say.
Our state needs a watchman in Washington and I am willing to spend the next six
years serving you and the other 6 million Tennesseans in such a way as this state
has not seen in many years if ever in my lifetime. I do not take my marching orders
from politicians, lobbyists, or the ungodly. I am an everyday Tennessean and I
encourage you to join my campaign to Turn the Page on Politics.
When we defeat Lamar Alexander on November 4th, we will unseat the political
kingpin in Tennessee and it will serve as the second shot heard ‘round the world.
The victory however will not be won November 4th without your commitment and
your endorsement and that of many other influential leaders across our great state.
We simply cannot afford to sit on our hands, vote for the lesser of two evils, and wait for the next election to come around. Our Liberty is on the line and we either keep it now or we face the words of John Adams, “Liberty, once lost, is lost forever”, being fulfilled before our very eyes. The time to act is now!
This election is not about you and it is certainly not about me, however it is about the responsibility that rests upon each of us. I plead with you to stay the course for 89 more days. Let’s show the political establishment in D.C. that we will keep our
